It’s the 17th of March as I write this and, slowly but surely, the world seems to be going to hell in a hand-basket. In the UK there is no full lock-down yet but that’s surely just around the corner.
It must be scary being a parent at this time. A lot of people will be told to stay at home and not show up for work. This is bound to make life quite tricky for a lot of people.
As if life with a baby isn’t challenging enough as it is. Now you might find yourself thinking about bills needing to be paid with less money coming in. Not being able to meet friends as much as you used to, and not being able to go to the gym to exercise. What to do for your Easter Holiday when you can’t take the kids anywhere. For small business owners business-continuity becomes a thing.
As you probably know, I’m a big believer in making sure I contribute to society rather than just take. If I want kindness in the world I have to spread it myself, I can’t expect others to do so. I can’t rely on the government to support small business, I have to go out and do it myself.
This really is the time to step up for the smaller family-run businesses and spend money with them. Don’t expect the government to bail anyone out, go out and spend your money with the smaller cafes and restaurants whilst you still can. To be very blunt; screw Costa Coffee, Starbucks etc. Those tax-dodging big corporations don’t need your help. The smaller local coffee-shop, who actually pay tax, however do. So that’s where I spend my money. If I can go to a local grocer, butcher and fishmonger then that’s what I do.
But it’s more complicated than that and I’m aware some people will face a big drop in income over the new few months, and maybe longer.
If you listened to the podcast last Sunday I was talking about why I started HPNB. How I felt Women’s Post-Natal physical health should be available, and affordable to all.
“Women’s Post-Natal Health is a right not a privilege” is the phrase I used
..and then of course this Corona Virus really hit the UK and US.
Yesterday the UK goverment told everyone to also minimise social contact for 12 whole weeks
That means that a lot of you won’t be able to see your Personal trainer anymore, or won’t be wanting to spend money on an expensive Post-Natal program which can cost you hundreds of £. But we also know that we need to exercise for our physical and mental health.
So this made me wonder, what I could do to make your life a little bit easier.
And here is what I came up with;
Until the 30th of April all new members will get 3 months (91 days) completely free access to the site if they use coupon code “3months”. You can sign up and cancel on the same day if you want, you’ll still get FREE access to the whole HPNB site for those 3 months.
That’s 3 month’s worth of exercise routines that you can do at home. 3 months of expert help and advice on our forums, completely free.
Hopefully this will help you keep your sanity a bit, keep you active and healthy. You can use this 12-week period to heal your Diastasis Recti, back and neck pain. You can make tremendous progress in resolving any posture problems in 12 weeks.
All the sessions can also be done if you’re still in the first 6 months of your pregnancy, just don’t over-do it. They are completely safe.
You could even do the sessions with your kids over the Easter Holiday! I know it’s not a trip to Butlins or the zoo but at least it’s not watching CBBC and playing board games all day.
Take care of yourself, and your family.
Peter
