Simple; If you find that your body isn’t functioning like it should, you need HPNB.
If you’re suffering from Diastasis Recti, we can fix that.
If you have neck-, back- or shoulder-pain we can fix that.
If your posture has gone because you’re carrying a child or breastfeeding alot, we can fix that.
If you’re suffering from pelvic floor problems, including leakage, we can fix that.
I have been writing for years on the CastlePersonalTraining blog that I think it’s outrageous that high class Post-Natal exercise is not available to every woman who needs it. I fully understand that not everybody has a grand or two to throw at exercise when they have just given birth, or ever for that matter.
For years I offered every mum in Edinburgh a free, no-sales, consultation with exercise advice to sort whatever issues they might have. This was very popular but I can only do so much. I asked other Personal Trainers to get involved but that’s just not the way the industry is set up.
I had to start thinking outside the box a bit. I hate 12-week Post-Natal programs that cost a few hundred $ as they don’t actually solve all that much and are ridiculously overpriced. As I’ve written about before; as soon as you mention the B-word, prices of things shoot up and it is no different for Fitness Programs.
I wanted everybody to have access to a good exercise program that will help them solve whatever issue they have but I wanted more; I think it’s essential that when you’re doing rehab exercise, which Post-Natal exercise is, you’re able to speak to an expert rather than just having to rely on Google. So I had to create a website with a forum attached to it, it was the only thing I could think of to be honest. This way we can keep everything affordable for everyone.
£8/$10 a month, or whatever your local equivalent is, is affordable for most people. It’s roughly the same price as an Amazon Prime/Netflix subscription.
In short; HPNB is not about making as much money as we can, as other fitness programs essentially are. This is about providing an essential health service to as many people as possible.
No. You can do everything from the comfort of your own home and with only a minimum of equipment. Ideally you would have a mat, some small looped resistance bands, a longer resistance band and a swiss ball.
Below are some links to the mat, resistance bands and balance ball we recommend but any will do. As I like to be open and honest about these things; The below are affiliate links; We get a share of the price of the products you buy for recommending them, but you won’t pay more for the items.
Short resistance bands (UK https://amzn.to/2QA6vIS ) (US https://amzn.to/2Fv6aq6 )(Not expensive and do the job very nicely)
Long resistance bands (UK https://amzn.to/2KKoTN7 ) (US https://amzn.to/2reRIbt )
Yoga mat (UK https://amzn.to/2AYp9Vs ) (US https://amzn.to/2DD46KJ ) (Cheaper are available but this is good quality and not too thick.)
And finally; a balance ball (UK https://amzn.to/2QyC3ir ) (US https://amzn.to/2T6JGhE )(Cheaper are available but I like these) You won’t need one of these for at least 3 months so you can buy this last.
If you have access to a gym or have kettlebells/dumbbells gathering dust at home you will get good use out of them in the later strength sessions. Once you’re ready to progress to adding weights, but you don’t need them to get results.
Everything. We don’t believe in having different levels of access. You will get full access to all exercise routines, you can email Peter at any time with any questions you have. You’ll get a monthly 7-minute home routine, and 2 strength training routines, emailed to you automatically. After 3 months you get even more choice so that you can choose what you’d like to work on next!
Generally speaking you should feel results after 3-4 weeks. However, how long it takes to fix your Diastasis Recti, or anything else you might be struggling with, depends on several factors including; when you last gave birth, how active you were during the pregnancy and what kind of training you did, your age and how much seperation of the stomach muscles you have. The same goes for any aches and pains or leakage you might have.
We understand you have other things to do, most of you will have a shiny new baby to take care of after all, so the daily home routine is only 7 minutes. Any strength training sessions last about 30-40 minutes and we hope you can manage to do 1 or 2 of those each week.
Thanks! We had it redesigned by Chris from Devonto Ltd. The guy is excellent and gave us a superb rate so we could keep running this thing at a low price for all our members.
I believe Post-Natal physical health should not just be for those with a few $ to throw at the problem. The plan for HPNB is to always be affordable for everyone. We will also be working with various organisations to reach out to those who might not have the funds to purchase a subscription and will give free access to many women that way.
Finally this will not be some money-making exercise. Yes I, and everyone working for HPNB in the future, will be taking a salary but it will fair and not excessive and we will start supporting various charities as soon as we can. The plan is for 25% of our net profit to go to some sort of charitable organization.
Yes, completely. We use STRIPE for all our payment processing and these guys really have security down pat.
We also offer a Paypal payment for those of you who prefer it.
Just click on this link every now and again when you buy stuff on Amazon. It won’t cost you a penny more but we get a little kickback and 10% of what we make will be donated to a Women’s Charity voted for by our members.
